Biography: Warm Greetings from Praveen, I born & brought up in Aurangabad and Pune Cities of Maharashtra. I was an Athlete, a long distance runner, Participated many a times at all India level. I have studied Geology and Environmental Science. I am high ambitious and believe in making difference in this world. I have strong will power to work and bring change in society. I don't have parents - have three elder brothers (all married) and leading a very happy life. I chose Khunti as my work place when I learned about the local tribes and their problems.
In year 1998 to 2000 I was on an expedition on foot to raise funds with the help of WWF International. Travelled Eleven South-Asian Countries on foot - WWF supported for Visa's and other help to spread the message of Eco-protection and Rotary clubs all over also supported in many ways. Travelled through India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia & Singapore. Visited more than 200 schools and deliver the message amongst the school students in all the above South Asian Countries.
In Ranchi I was associated with late Mr. Abhas Chatterjee, a Retd. IAS (The top most Administrative Services in India) officer and State Chairman of WWF to help him in Overall Community Development activities in village Torankel of Khunti Block in Ranchi District. I offered my voluntary services to the local tribes and a Co-operative called - Nivucha Weavers' Co-operative Society. I took care of Marketing- includes Internet Marketing too - and helped the society breath easy by providing opportunities to participate in exhibitions at New Delhi, Mumbai, Jamshedpur and Kolkata for more than two years. This participation and sell brought life to this tribal poor co-operative.
Since year 2001 involved in the community development work in Khunti community.
My dream is to set up a joint old age home, orphanage and animal shelter together, to give love, affection and companionship to each other. At the same time work towards the Sustainability of the projects that we undertake -We would develop a training centre with full of resources, which will be run by old people and Orphan children - guarded by our fellow dogs :).
