Here is a list of several other resources we collected in the Khandbari village in association with getting books for the school library. Again, with most of these, transportation costs will likely be the most prohibitive factor. I still believe 100% that you will find the most success if you focus primarily on the organizations working inside Nepal already, including publishing and book distribution houses.

Read Nepal is another great organization that may be useful in obtaining further books for the students to use in the classroom, or toward your idea of establishing an English Reading Library.

Min-this may be a good organization to contact about obtaining more books for the children at the school.

During Min's recent visit to Krishna Primary School, he was able to visit with the owners of a local market not far from the school. The plans they discussed involved piping water from the market into a concrete tank (yet to be constructed) at the school. This would be an above ground tank and contain a spicket so the water in the tank could be easily accessed by the students.
Min has told me he has drawn up a cost estimate for this project and we have someone who is interested in donating toward this as well.
Where can we find in kind support for Kajjansi Children's Centre
Paul would like to find in kind support for the school BEHOD set up.
We'll apply for books at Biblionef. Mary posted a huge list of organisations in the Fundraising group:
Over time I have created a list of potential sources of funding, books etc which I add to as I find things.
It is at

and has the following sections:
1.SOURCES OF FUNDING
2.EQUIPMENT/SUPPLIES DONATIONS
3.BOOK DONATIONS AND LOW COST BOOKS
4.TWIN SCHOOLS/PARTNERSHIPS
5.OTHER PARTNERHSHPS
6.ONLINE FUNDRAISING

Min has talked with the local VDC (I believe Village Development Committee) about the need for water at the school. They have agreed to contribute $100 USD toward the project. We also have a donor willing to donate around $700 USD toward the project budget. This leaves only around $300 left to raise to complete the project according to Min's original budget estimates. He's been very busy meeting with local NGO's and other International Aid organizations and doing a great job gaining local support.
Thought you would all want to know the good news :)
